Pastor Gloria Ann Savoy was reared by her grandparents the late Richard and Alice Proctor in Doncaster, Maryland. She accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at the Zion Baptist Church, Welcome, MD under the leadership of the late Rev. Willis S. Walls. She was consecrated as a Deaconess in June of 1994; licensed to preach the gospel on August 5, 2000; and ordained on October 11, 2003, under the leadership of Rev. William A. Thorpe. Pastor Savoy gives praises and thanks to her Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, for allowing her to serve at a time such as this.
She was educated in the Charles County Public System. She continued her educated and graduated from the Evans-Smith Leadership Training Institute with a Certificate in Religious Studies. She has attended Richmond Virginia Seminary, Washington Saturday College and the National Baptist Congress. She received her Associates in Arts degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.  She continued her studies in Religion and in June 2013 completed requirements to receive a Bachelor of Christian Education Degree from the Andersonville Theological Seminary. Currently, she is working on a Master’s of Pastoral Theology. She also received various training and Certificates while working in the areas of Acquisition and Logistics Management with the Federal Government. She has Certificates from the College of Southern Maryland in Management and Management Development: Marketing.
She is excited about being used by God to lead his people to new heights in Him. It is her belief that God will do the increase, and it is up to the Body of Christ to be prepared to receive the increase.
Pastor Savoy believes in "Keeping it Real” - letting the unsaved know that they are worthy of God's saving grace. She served as an Associate Minister; Weekly Sunday School Teacher; Youth and Adult Vacation Bible School Teacher; Member of the Mass Choir; Member of the Imani Praise Team; President of the Zion Women’s Ministry (Daughters of Zion); assists with the Marriage Ministry, Bible Study teaching, served as Chairperson of the Culinary Ministry. She served as Chairperson of the Women’s Department of the Potomac River Baptist Association. She actively supports Potomac River Baptist Association and has facilitated many training sessions during their Spring and Fall Sessions.
She believes in “putting her hands” to the plow, and lead by example.
Pastor Savoy is married to Deacon/Trustee George R. Savoy, Jr. and reside in LaPlata, Maryland. They have two daughters, one son, and are the proud grandparents of seven granddaughters and three grandsons. 
Pastor Savoy's motto is: "It ain't about you, but about Him" God gets the Glory!! Her favorite scripture is James 1:2-4: My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers’ temptations; Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
